My dog, Ivy, a 3-year-old Shih Tzu, had bloody diarrhea 24 hours ago. I changed her diet to chicken and rice, which she tolerated for one meal but vomited in the morning. She has been keeping down a little chicken since then and is otherwise peppy. The vomit looked like undigested chicken. Could the issue be related to a recent two-day car trip, and what should I do to help her recover?

My 11-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Bear, has a habit of jumping on people when they visit.
