My 12-year-old male German Shorthaired Pointer, Hans, has not stooled in several days except for diarrhea many days ago. He is prone to anal gland infections and was diagnosed with an abscess that has since opened and is draining. He is also barely eating and has been vomiting. His back end seems to be bulging. Might he be obstructed, and are the abscess and these symptoms connected?
