My dog just ate a cushion pad for a human's toe. It didn't contain any medication. It was oval-shaped and very spongy. My dog is 3 years old, weighs about 12.5 lbs, and is half Yorkie and half Bichon. Should I be concerned?

Can I use Voltaren gel topically in very small amounts for my dog's minor ankle pain and inflammation, and has it been used for dogs? My dog, Lani, is 9 1/2 years old and has a history of IBS and is on thyroid medication. She was running and got caught a bit, causing her ankle to be lightly painful and inflamed, but it is not broken or a bad sprain.

My dog, Adonis, has severe hives that turn into open sores, especially on his stomach and the inside of his legs. He has been on prednisone and Benadryl, but they only improve when he is on antibiotics like amoxicillin or ampicillin. The vet insists on continuing prednisone and doing an allergy test after weaning him off it, but I suspect it might be an infection. Is there any kind of infection that mimics an allergic reaction, and what should I do about the worsening condition?

My dog seems very sad and weak, not walking, with slight blood on his ears, locked jaw, drooling, and dry nose. He is also having trouble breathing and refusing food and water. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?
