My dog, Murphy, has severe separation anxiety that has been present since I adopted him 5 weeks ago. He exhibits destructive behavior, has accidents, barks, and shakes when left alone. I've tried crate training, medication (Trazodone and Prozac), exercise, and command training, but the anxiety remains. What else can be done to help Murphy, or is finding him a new home the best option?

I have a 126-pound Great Pyrenees Retriever mix named Buddy who is 3 years old. He ate 2 or 3 Krispy Kreme Mini Chocolate Crullers from the kitchen counter while I was gone.
