My Chihuahua mix is having seizures. He has been diagnosed with a liver shunt and has been experiencing these symptoms for just over 4 hours. The seizures are ongoing and have been off and on since 5pm. He is currently unable to eat or drink, and we tried to give him some lactulose (0.6mL dosage around 5pm). What should we do, and what additional information should the vet know?

My pet, a baby pug named Donut, has been groaning, flexing her belly, and whining all day. It sounds like she wants to throw up but can't. She was recently adopted a week ago and had a hernia treated with antibiotics. She has a checkup soon, but I'm unsure if her current symptoms are related to the hernia. Aside from the whining, she doesn't show other behavioral changes and walks normally. What could be causing her discomfort, and what should I do in the meantime?
