My dog abruptly woke up, started licking his lips a lot, shaking his head, and breathing weirdly, then vomited liquidy yellow with a couple of treats. He continued licking his lips and shaking his head afterward. He was at the vet on Monday for similar symptoms and was recommended a bland diet and Pepcid. What could be causing this, and what should I do?

My 10 1/2 year old Pekingese/Pomeranian mix, Cee Cee, was scratching her left ear due to a suspected spider bite. She weighs 15.4 lbs and has taken Zyrtec 10mg occasionally for allergies. What antihistamine (Zyrtec or Benadryl) should I give her, and can I use Hydrocortisone cream on the bite site?
