A friend's Boxer has been treated twice with antibiotic shots and pills. He initially gets better but then becomes lethargic and uninterested in things. His owner has put out rat poison out of the dog's reach, but one of the four dogs in the household got a rat and left its carcass in the house. Could he be poisoned? What do I need to do? It seems all the other vets in the area are too busy to see us today and I am deathly worried. None of the other dogs are showing any kind of symptoms at all.
