My dog, Lucy, had an extreme reaction to fireworks, hyperventilating and shaking uncontrollably for nearly 3 hours. She is 11 and a half years old and was in rescue kennels in Cyprus for 8 years before I rescued her. She has no other health issues but is one of the most nervous dogs they have ever had. What should I do when she has such severe reactions, and is there anything I can do to prepare for future events with fireworks?
