My 16-pound miniature pinscher/chihuahua mix, Benji, is just over a year old and has been experiencing lethargy, pain, and swelling on the left side of his mouth/jaw. He has difficulty opening his mouth and yawning, and his third eyelid is showing due to pain and inflammation. He has been to the vet twice, received anti-nausea shots, morphine, and pain medication. X-rays and blood work came back normal, but there is still swelling. What could be causing this and what should I do?
