My dog, Luke, who is 5-6 years old and has a messed up thyroid, suddenly started acting scared 10 minutes ago, which is unusual for him. My 11-year-old dog, Rico, has never had an ear infection before. On Monday, I noticed a significant smelly discharge from his right ear. I cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide and Q-tips, and by Thursday, the discharge had reduced but was still pink and a bit swollen. Rico seems to be sleeping and going through his normal routines without discomfort. What should I do to address this issue?

My mixed breed (mostly Pom) 12-year-old dog, Guy Noir, has lost a couple of pounds in the last month, has trouble with bowel movements, eats less, sleeps a lot, can't jump on the couch, has withering muscles, an extended and tight belly, still goes on short walks and urinates ok, and drinks plenty of water.
