My kennel assistant mistakenly gave one of our pregnant female canines a Sentinel tablet a week ago. The dog delivered a litter of 12 puppies, about 9 to 10 days premature, with four stillborn and two passing away shortly after birth. The surviving puppies are lethargic and only three are actively nursing, while the others are being tube-fed every 2 hours. I am concerned if the Sentinel tablet has negatively affected this litter. Is there a connection between the medication and the premature birth and high mortality rate of the puppies?
