My 7-year-old Mastiff-Akita mix, Yoda, is experiencing wheezing, labored breathing when sleeping, a hoarse bark, lethargy, and difficulty getting up after naps. He also has a respiratory rate of 32 and seems to have trouble with his right side. We live in New Mexico. Could this be allergies, bronchitis, or something else?
