My dog, Maude, has slightly runny stool with blood in it. She could have eaten tree needles during Christmas decorations, but we didn't see her eat any. She weighs 18lbs and is 2 years old. She hasn't vomited and allowed me to clean her bottom without discomfort. What should I do?

My dog, Bailey, has been itching herself and has bites on her skin. I'm worried she might have fleas or ticks. What should I do to confirm and treat this issue, and should I also check my other dog?

My dog has a sensitive stomach and ate some food that might have gone bad this morning, along with pieces of house plants including a philodendron and coleus. He's been vomiting since and looks unwell. He's about 57lbs, 9 years old, and is shivering a bit. What should I do to help him?

My dog, Abby, a 6-year-old with gastrointestinal issues, has been pooping melena for 3 days. She has not vomited but has had coughing fits and gagging. The first day's stool had mucus and a little blood, now it's firm with dark little blood. She recently ate bacon and has no changes in her diet. What should I do?

Our 56 lb pocket pittie ate the silver wrapper that the cream cheese comes in out of the trash. Is this something emergent? Do we induce vomiting?

My 10-year-old standard poodle, Cody, has started intermittently coughing, sometimes just after getting up from lying down or after lying across my lap. I suspect his heart/lung area might be getting compressed and causing the cough upon release. He has been wormed twice this year, does not meet other dogs often, and is generally healthy with normal eating and drinking habits. What could be causing this cough, and what diagnostics should I consider before consulting my vet?
