My dog, Buster, was clipped by a car. He cannot put weight on his front right leg, has abrasions on his inner arm pit and a cut on his front knee, and is licking the area. He ran from the road into the house, his gums are still pink, and there is slight swelling from his elbow to wrist. What should I do?

Can I give a dog who is having frequent soft bowel movements a half tab (1 mg) of loperamide hydrochloride? He weighs about 23 lb. The dog has been having soft, formed bowel movements since Saturday, has eaten only kibble and dog biscuits, and has no known health issues or medications other than Simparica Trio for flea/tick/heartworm prevention. The dog is perky, eating well, and seems to feel fine, but has started pooping in the house despite being let out regularly.
