My Shih Tzu, Bentley, has swelling beside his anus and is very uncomfortable. He started licking the area a couple of days ago, and the swelling just started yesterday. Bentley is 9.5 years old, not neutered, and was recently groomed. What could be causing this swelling, and what can I do to help him feel more comfortable until I can get him to the vet?

My new puppy, Walter, a 9-week-old miniature labradoodle weighing about 3-4 lbs, chewed on a 400mg Advil gel cap. The capsule was punctured, and he likely swallowed some gel. It has been about 5 minutes since this happened. Should we induce vomiting, and how should we proceed?

My Bichon, Toby, ate part of an aluminum takeout container. He is 12 pounds and 14 years old. I'm not sure how much he ate, but it was very recently, and he hasn't vomited since. What should I do?

My Chiweenie, Pyper, is wheezing, was lethargic yesterday but has more energy today, is eating and drinking, but still wheezing. Her stool was very soft today, and she didn't eat yesterday but ate a good dinner tonight. Could she have eaten something unusual? She is approximately 4 years old and a rescue. Is there anything I can do at home to help her until her vet appointment on November 22nd?

My dog, Parker, a two-year-old Boston Terrier, has been exhibiting fly-biting behavior for a few weeks, where he appears to be chasing or scanning for flies that aren't there. He was a 'stud dog' at a high-grade puppy mill during his first year and is very Alpha and not easy to train. He gets bored easily and always wants to play. What could be causing this behavior and what can I do in the meantime before his vet appointment next Monday?
