My dog, NIko, threw up and it smells like poop, but his stomach is not distended. I don't think he ate anything unusual, and he doesn't seem distressed. What could be the cause, and should I be concerned about an obstruction that might warrant an emergency vet visit?

I am a fairly experienced breeder, but this is my Border Collie's first litter. She delivered one puppy at 6:45am, and it's now past noon. She has a large abdomen but is relaxed, not licking her vulva or straining, and has eaten and drunk. Should I be worried about her, or could she just be taking longer than usual with her first litter?
