My dog, Hiedi, a Maltese Terrier, has a very red and extremely itchy rash on her lower back to her tail. This has been ongoing for a long time, and pills and injections have not been effective. What could be causing this and what other treatments can be tried?

My dog has just finished 3 weeks on Metronidazole for diarrhea, but her stools have not returned to normal. They are extremely loose, like pancake batter. She has been dewormed, is current on her vaccinations, and her last heartworm test was negative. What should I ask for next? Blood test? Fecal Float? Or should I truly not be worried?

Hi, there is a couple of sores on my dog's upper lip. Initially, they were puffy, but now they are flat with scales/scabs. The sores are not inside his mouth but rather under his nose to where his lip starts. The vet treated it with antibiotics and prednisone, but it has worsened. I cannot apply ointment because he licks it off. Is there anything else important the veterinarian should know about my dog, Timone, who is otherwise healthy and a miniature Pinscher?
