My 2-year-old 60-pound dog, Larry, has been compulsively licking and swallowing, and seems very anxious. He ate his normal dinner at 5pm EST and has not vomited since. He has been drinking normally and his stools are normal. What could be causing his behavior, and what should I do?

My dog, Thrax (3 years old, 47 pounds), ate a 6-inch piece of a leather belt a week ago and has had diarrhea since yesterday. He has also been given new digestive and calming treats (2 today, 4 yesterday). I haven't seen the belt pass and am worried it might be causing the issue. What should I do?
