My dog, RJ, an 11-month-old Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix, has been experiencing bloody diarrhea. He had normal poop this morning but then had bloody splatters. He also had rubbery poop with a mucus coating a few days ago. He is still energetic and his coat is shiny, but he likes to chew on everything. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My 9-year-old teacup Maltese, Buddy, last night started continually walking around and stretching, mostly with front paws stretched out in front and rear still upright, like a bow down. He didn't want to be held and would only stay still for short periods before repeating the stretch. This behavior lasted about five or six hours with frequent outdoor visits but very little feces. Eventually, he settled about five hours overnight and appears reasonably ok now. Should I arrange a vet visit or could it have been more of a one-off?
