My dog, Rosie, chewed on a couple of roach combat traps and has been vomiting a couple of times. She's been sleeping more than usual for a couple of weeks, especially in the past few days. She's also been sleeping alone in the living room, which is unusual for her. She seems to have a fever, has lost her appetite, and has lost weight. What could be wrong and what should I do?

My 2-year-old 60 lb. lab mix licked my skin after I applied picaridin insect spray. I moved him away as soon as I realized and washed the spray off. I see that picaridin is better than DEET but still not recommended for dogs. What should I do?

My older Great Dane Lab mix, Jack, who is about 11 years old, has become very lethargic, can't stand up, and is drooling. He wasn't this way yesterday morning but became very lethargic, drooling, and couldn't balance himself when I arrived home. He was having diarrhea yesterday morning and had a foul odor. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?

My dog, Lucky, a 5-year-old Chow Chow, has been making very loud stomach noises, curling up in a ball, and hasn't eaten in 2 days. He had diarrhea last night. Is there anything I can do to help him, and can I give him people medicine like Kaopectate or Pepto Bismol?

Our dog, a Boston Terrier mix (25.5 lbs), ingested some mascara and later showed small bruising. Her platelet count dropped from 152,000 to 38,000. The vet suggests steroids, an X-ray, and a Coag Test. We want to know if the mascara ingestion could have caused the platelet drop and if she really needs the strong steroids or if we should let her body naturally boost her platelet count.
