My dog, Sheba, a 9-year-old German Shepherd, has blood in her urine and dark-colored urine for a couple of days. She is paralyzed in her hind end due to a spinal stroke and has had UTIs in the past with similar symptoms. I have an appointment with her vet but not until next Thursday. Is there anything I can do for her until then?

My dog had diarrhea, and after feeding him a small portion of white rice with chicken and pumpkin, and giving him Pepto-Bismol, he's no longer having diarrhea but I noticed a small portion of what looks like a blood clot when he tries to use the restroom. How long should it take for him to return to normal, and is the blood clot a cause for concern?
