I have an 11-year-old black lab with recurring issues including eye discharge, fever, weakness, abdominal swelling, and loss of appetite. She has an elevated neutrophil count but normal other blood values. The liver on an x-ray appears misshapen. She is currently on prednisone and a penicillin antibiotic, but her condition relapses when the steroid is weaned. What could be causing these symptoms, and is there a way to definitively diagnose the issue through blood or urine culture?

I have a labrador retriever weighing approximately 120lbs. She started vomiting undigested food last night and has vomited about 12 times. Now she is vomiting stomach gastric juices. I have taken all food away from her and am only giving small amounts of water. She is on an antibiotic and apoquel for a skin condition but I didn't give her any meds today. Is there anything I can do to help her now?
