My dog, Sparky, keeps digging in his ear and cries when doing so. He is around 6 or 7 years old, weighs about 18 pounds, and has no known medical issues. What could be causing this and what can I do to help him?

My 9-year-old dog, Dover, has dual ear infections with dark, slightly red, foul-smelling discharge, internal redness in both ears, and continuous head shaking. I've been unable to get an appointment with our local vet until mid-December. What can I do to help him in the meantime?

Is there a natural way to prevent blood clots at home while I wait for the medication?
