My dog, Spikee, has a skin irritation on his tail with hair loss. He's been biting and scratching his tail since we moved to a new home with wall-to-wall carpet three months ago. I've changed his diet to salmon-based dog food and given him an antihistamine. What could be causing the irritation and what can I do to help him?

My 7-year-old female dog, Daisy, has a nail that appears partially pulled out after getting caught in the carpet. There was minimal bleeding last night, which has since stopped, but her paw is painful. What should I do to help her, and should I seek veterinary attention?

My Rhodesian Ridgeback, Mondo, threw up yesterday and has shown no interest in food or water since. He is lethargic and has not wanted to get out of bed. Should I take him to a pet emergency room, especially since my vet is closed today?

My dog, Annie Marge (about 25 pounds, 10-11 years old), licked a corner of an 8 mg Subutex pill that slightly disintegrated. I'm not sure if she ingested any of it, but I'm concerned. She had also taken an over-the-counter arthritis chewable about an hour before. Should I be worried about any potential effects from the Subutex pill?

My dog, Zeus (age 2), has been biting and bothering himself around his tail and anus area. I just noticed it yesterday, and it's much worse today. He was last seen by a vet around 9 months ago and is currently taking Nexgard for flea and tick prevention. What could be causing this behavior, and what should I do?

My Pomeranian, Marcus, has been honking/coughing since yesterday around 10:00am. He can breathe, but the frequency and intensity of the coughing are worsening. Marcus is 5 or 6 years old, and I am babysitting him while his owner is out of the country. What could be causing this, and what can I do to help him?
