My dog suddenly died within two hours. She was almost 10 years old, had a positive Lyme titer but no symptoms, took a joint supplement daily, and was on mature dog food. There were no recent changes in diet or behavior. She was due for her next flea treatment by pill and had been sprayed with flea spray on her coat. The day she died, she was fine in the morning but was found dead with a section of her skin and hair fallen off, her body covered with fleas and ticks, a red dotted rash on her skin, and her eyes completely red. The grass was cut, she was next to the house, and there were no new plants around. What could have caused her sudden death with these presentations in less than two hours?
