My dog, Sunshine, has a swollen ear canal on the left side. She was shaking her head and scratching a lot before the swelling was noticed. She recently ran through a large puddle from snow melt. There was some discharge and odor from the ear initially, but now the canal is hard and round. What could be causing this and what should I do to treat it?

My dog, Luna, has had a mast cell tumor on her trunk for nearly two years, which was finally removed during her spay surgery. The pathology results showed dirty margins, grade 2, and a high mitotic index of 12, indicating an aggressive tumor. Despite this prognosis, Luna appears very healthy and active. Why is she not showing signs of illness, and have you seen any dogs outlive this prognosis?

My dog, Gram, a 15-pound, 5-year-old, ate some used coffee grounds from a filter that had about two tablespoons of coffee. He seems to have licked some of it and didn't eat all of it. Should I be concerned about the coffee grounds, and is there anything I should do?
