My geriatric 5 lb, 16.5-year-old Maltese/Shih Tzu mix is on seizure medication and gabapentin for doggie dementia. She has been acting very agitated, starving, and stumbling for about 1.5 hours after receiving her usual dose of gabapentin. Is there anything I can do for her? Should I give her another 0.5 ml of the gabapentin suspension?

My 12-year-old Chihuahua is breathing heavily while resting, coughing as if choking, and wheezing. He has had this cough for about 6 months, progressively getting worse but subsiding at times. There have been no recent changes in his environment or exposure to irritants. What can we do?

I gave my 7-month-old Husky/Lab mix puppy, Blondie, a half cup of cooked cauliflower with water about half an hour after her regular supper of dry puppy food. I wanted to give her turmeric but was concerned about the root, extract, and other ingredients. Should I give her a 500 mg turmeric capsule, and if so, should it be less or not at all?

My 10-year-old Pomeranian, Chai, who has heart failure and is on heart medications (Cardalis and Flusapex 40 mg three times a day), had an episode where he seemed unwell, had a swollen tummy, vomited from 7pm to 10:30pm, was very thirsty but couldn't keep anything down, became weak and lethargic, and had fast breathing. I'm very concerned and live in the southern highlands of NSW. What advice do you have for managing his condition at home and determining if he needs emergency veterinary care?

My dog, Lexi, ate a grape 3 hours ago. She is 6.4 kg and 14 years old, with hypothyroidism, a heart murmur, and slightly elevated liver enzymes in the past. Should I induce vomiting with peroxide, go to a vet, or wait and see if she has symptoms?
