My dog, Tiki, pants nonstop when in the vehicle or in my hubby's shop when the heater is running. She doesn't pant when the vehicle is not in motion and doesn't have a cough. What could be causing this and what can I do to help her?

Willow, a 2-year-old dog weighing 70 lbs, chewed some of a rope toy and has been coughing for a couple of hours, trying to hack something up but hasn't vomited.
