My dog, Trè, who will be 2 in June, has been experiencing consistent eye boogers and a yellow-greenish mucus discharge from both eyes for about 2 weeks. He occasionally rubs his eyes, especially in the morning, but they are open and not visibly red. What could be causing this, and what can I do to help him until I can get a veterinary appointment?

My 9.5-year-old Maltese, Jaxson, has been randomly yelping/crying out of nowhere, especially when moving or changing positions.
