My dog was diagnosed with a mild to moderate left leaky valve and tricuspid insufficiency in the right. He is a 4-year-old Shih-Tzu. The vet said we should bring him back in 9-12 months for another echo. I'm worried about how this will affect his longevity. Will he reach double digits in age, or is it more likely he will only have a few months to years left?
