My dog was spayed yesterday and is refusing to eat or drink, seems depressed, fell down stairs, has a puffy incision site, is not taking her pain meds, and had blood and mucus in her stool this morning. Should I take her to a vet or continue to monitor her?

My 2.5-year-old Shepherd had a temperature of 102.9°F and was given medication, including two shots. He has been reluctant to eat and seems lethargic but still wants to play. What could be causing this and what can I do to help him?

Our 9-year-old Husky Chow Chow recently hurt his back jumping on the bed. We took him to the animal hospital, and after X-rays and blood work, he was given muscle relaxants and pain pills. However, he tried to jump again and hurt himself further, now showing signs of withdrawal. We were reducing the pain pills but have started giving them again. What should we do?

My Shih Tzu, about 10 years old, has been yelping suddenly and showing unusual behavior such as being very still for hours, yelping and running to new locations, tucking in her tail, and fighting for comfort, then stopping for hours. She had a bowel movement showing worms, was treated for that, and given pain, inflammation, and antibiotic medications. Two days later, she returned to the vet with the same symptoms, had an x-ray with no findings, and was given new pain medication due to stomach irritation. She is now hand-fed and given water, but doesn't initiate it herself. Her tail twitches, and she dislikes it. What could be causing her symptoms, and what can be done to help her?

What will cause my Great Dane, Layla, to scratch so much that she is losing her hair on her sides, has bumpy and itchy skin, red ears, and sores under her front arm pits?

My 5-year-old 12lb Shih Tzu Yorkie has been experiencing diarrhea with mucousy blood and clotted mucousy blood, despite being given Cerenia and anti-diarrhea medications. He is not lethargic but not himself, and he won't take his medications. This morning, he had more diarrhea with blood. He is keeping water down and his gums look normal, but he could have eaten toys. Should I be concerned, and what should I do?
