My dog, who is 14 years old and weighs 20 lbs, has been experiencing a low-level, annoying cough since yesterday. She has no pre-existing medical conditions and has not been around unfamiliar dogs recently. What could be causing this cough and what should I do?

I have a 9-1/2 year old female boxer named Roxy who has become very weak, shows signs of pain, shivers, and has difficulty moving and finding a comfortable position. She also has intermittent periods of lethargy and decreased appetite and hydration. Three weeks ago, she was checked by a vet with normal blood tests except for slightly elevated liver and pancreas readings, which were attributed to eating bird suet. What could be causing her current condition and what should I do?

My 4-year-old Walker hound mix has been nipping at his anus for the past 3 weeks. He has regular normal bowel movements but occasionally sits longer after defecating, expecting more to come out. He had a brief episode of watery, mucous-black diarrhea in early September after a change in his dog food, which resolved but was followed by the current nipping behavior. A parasite test was negative, and he doesn't eat miscellaneous waste. What could this anus nipping be, and what is the remedy?
