My elderly dog, Stoney, a shepherd mix, has developed a swollen area on the outside toe of her front paw. She started limping yesterday, but she did well on a walk this morning. The area is not hot to the touch, and she is not licking it. She recently recovered from diarrhea and was put on Gut Biome. What could this swelling be, and should I take her to the vet?

My 2-year-old cattle dog mix, Artie, has been licking his lips, coughing, and gagging without vomiting, and eating excessive amounts of grass. He started this behavior earlier today and has no known allergies. I diffused essential oils in my house a couple of days ago, but he didn't seem to have any issues then. I checked his mouth for obstructions and found none. What could be causing this and what should I do?
