Our dog, Buddy, a 13-year-old Schnoodle, has a bump/growth on the soft outer part of his mouth that looks like an engorged tick but cannot be pulled off. We noticed it tonight, but our son mentioned it has been there for a couple of months. The dog has been to the vet recently for surgery and the growth was not mentioned. Is this a skin tag, something we should take him to the vet for, or possibly a tick embedded below the skin?

My mum's dog, Ruby, a 10-year-old Maltese Shih Tzu with skin allergies, dry eye, and other health issues, was found digging in the garden where blood and bone fertilizer was applied less than 24 hours ago.
