My dog, Apollo, a 2-year-old 35-pound dog, ate about 20 Ghirardelli chocolate squares (dark, milk, white, and mint) within the last hour. He is currently acting normal but I want to know what interventions I should take at home before considering a vet visit.

My dog, Lucy, had ear surgery 1 week ago for hematoma. She is now having dark bloody drainage from the incision, crusting around her ear, and seems uncomfortable, shaking/shivering at times. She is on amoxicillin and Prednisone, which we are weaning. What can I do for her discomfort while her vet is unavailable?

My dog, Oliver, a 10-year-old long-haired wiener dog, has had diarrhea and vomiting for almost 3 days. The vomit is liquidy and clear, with no food in it. He ate a paper tag from clothing and possibly a small piece of foil. He lives with two senior cats and is the only one who goes out for walks. My girlfriend mixes ground turkey with his dry kibble food, which stays in the fridge for 5-7 days after cooking. What could be causing his symptoms and what should I do?
