My Maltese is not acting well. She has not eaten in 2 days, drinks a little, has had diarrhea and vomited once today. About 3 hours ago when she threw up, I gave her some Pepto Bismol. She has been sleeping all day. She is 8 years old. What could be wrong with her? Please help.

My dog, a Lab Shepherd mix, has been itching herself excessively lately. I have already given her an application of Advantage, which helped for a while. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, and cannot find any fleas on her despite several baths. What could be causing this and what can I do to help her?

My Bichon Frise has luxating patella in both knees and I cannot afford surgery. Is there any type of natural pain medication I can give my dog? The vet continuously wants to see the dog, but I simply can't afford it right now. What do you recommend?

I have a Lhasa Apso/Pomeranian mix named Sophie, who is 3 years old. My son accidentally tripped over her while playing, causing her to collapse with her eyes rolled back and tongue hanging out for about a minute. She recovered but has been quieter than usual since then. My son suspects he may have bruised her ribs, as her breathing was labored last night but seems fine today. She is due for her physical at the end of the month. Should I take her in for her physical now?

My dog has been licking a spot under her tail, making it red and raw. She has also done this to her front leg before, where the fur has not grown back and the skin is black. I am concerned and need to find a solution.
