My Maltipoo, Rocky, had surgery to get spayed and neutered last Friday. He is healing well but this morning was very constipated. Now he has poop sticking out, and I can't get it out or wipe it. What can I do at home to help him, and should I take him to the vet?

My 11-year-old Havanese passed away shortly after having his spleen removed due to a large tumor. He started breathing heavily, his gums turned pale, and he quickly deteriorated. The vet was unable to explain what caused his death. We knew the tumor could be cancerous, but he was healthy otherwise. What could have gone wrong after the surgery, and could the tumor have been cancerous despite no signs of spread or anemia?

My older, neutered dog has had an extended and firm penis for about 3 days. He cannot pull it in on his own, but he is eating, drinking, and urinating normally. He also seems more tired than usual, which I didn't initially consider a symptom. Does he need to go to the vet?
