My mini pinscher, Copper, jumped off the couch and hurt its back leg. He is holding the leg up, wimpers and barks when trying to move it, and can put the foot down but screams in pain. He also shakes a lot and whimpers constantly. What should I do?

My 7-year-old Bloodhound, Ruby, generally sheds all year. Recently, I noticed 2 patches of loose hair which I pulled out, leaving dry patches of skin underneath. She will get a bath tomorrow. Ruby almost died 4 years ago due to an unknown cause, possibly a reaction to a tick bite. She has ear problems and food allergies.
