My new 11-month-old Mini Schnauzer-mix rescue puppy has a habit of rubbing his nose on furniture and blankets when we are around. We are worried he will hurt himself. He approaches us when we are low to the ground but runs away when we stand upright. We suspect he has been mistreated and has trust issues with people. He is perfect with other dogs and has made progress, but we can't get him to stop this 'tick.' What could be causing this behavior, and how can we help him overcome it?
