My older dog has suddenly become almost immobile. She pulls her bottom under her and won't pee, drink, or eat. She has arthritis and it has gotten a lot colder. Is this just really bad arthritis?

I have a 6-year-old bunny who is not standing, her head is turning to the side, and she is breathing heavier than usual. She has not been out of the cage in a few days, and it seems she might have broken her back due to the way her hind leg is not under her as usual. What could be wrong with her, and what can I do for her?

My Chihuahua was seriously attacked by a coyote and underwent emergency surgery for a tracheotomy. During surgery, extensive nerve and muscle damage to his throat and neck area was discovered. The vet suggested euthanasia due to poor quality of life. I'm seeking a second opinion. Can you provide any information or insight?

Since talking to you last night, Abby hasn't gotten any better. She did drink some of the chicken broth, but giving her crushed meds through a syringe doesn't work. Today, she ate some roast beef and corn tortillas but won't drink. I contacted her vet, who agreed to board her, give her meds, IV fluids, and food for a week. They will also give her tramadol for dysplasia. She's been lying on the couch all day, had a dark BM this morning, and isn't herself. I hope the vet boarding her and giving her the right treatment will clear this up. Is there anything else I'm missing?

We have 3 dogs and live on a farm. 2 of our 3 dogs suddenly came in acting almost drunk and unsteady on their feet, especially in the hind area but generally weak all over. Could this be caused by fermented corn my husband threw out of one of our grain bins?

I have a 46-50lb female Boxer with a cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) issue. What are your thoughts on the TTA (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement) procedure versus the tightrope procedure? Do you know a good surgeon in the Cincinnati area?
