My parents' 11-year-old Papillon mix, Romi, has been experiencing occasional bowel movements with a raspberry mucus-like substance, normal BMs for days or weeks, and bouts of straining. While I was watching him, he had a mucusy poop and either vomited or had a black tar-like substance. He is now back to normal but has extreme attachment issues causing stress. What should we do?
