My pet Shar Pei, Duchess, was recently diagnosed with Shar Pei fever. She is losing weight, losing her appetite, and has been lethargic since her surgery in April. She is currently on colchicine and gabapentin, but has diarrhea. What should we expect if the medication does not work, and what other options can we look into?
