My pit bull, Rebel, has an infection in his mouth that has been causing drooling of saliva and blood for approximately 2 weeks. His face is swollen on the right side, and he is aggressive and won't let anyone look at it. Rebel is 13 years old and does not do well at the vet. He would need to be put under anesthesia to be examined, but I'm concerned about the risks due to his age. What should I do?
