I believe my dog was bitten by a black widow spider. There is a lesion, but the bite must have occurred at least 24 to 36 hours ago. He is walking around fine and does not seem to be bothered by it other than irritation while I was applying a bandage. Breathing is fine, heart rate seems to be fine, and his behavior seems to be essentially not affected. I do not want to take him to the vet unless absolutely necessary as emergency care is very expensive. Would I be OK waiting it out?

My one-year-old dog, Cash, was scrotal neutered a week ago. His scrotum became very swollen after he ran down the stairs a few times. The swelling has gone down slightly but is still present. The incision is not oozing or draining, and he is acting normally. Is this normal to have swelling still, and should we keep his cone on until the swelling subsides?

I gave a dog 220 mg of naproxen this morning, and it started getting sick around 3 pm. The dog weighs about 100 lbs, so the dosage is a little less than 5 mg/kg. What should I do now, and is there anything I can give at home to help?

My Frenchie recently got tobramycin and atropine sulfate ophthalmic ointment for a corneal ulcer in one of his eyes. If I suspect his other eye may have an ulcer as well, is it bad to use these medications on his other eye if he weren’t to actually have an ulcer in the other eye?
