My retired greyhound, Cara, has severe arthritis and has stopped eating. My partner is now responsible for both morning and evening care. The vet recommended euthanasia, but we decided to wait until I return. Cara has been given a prescription drug that improved her condition but not her appetite. Should we consider euthanasia, why won't Cara eat, and is it safe to give her aspirin for her arthritis?
