My 7-month-old blue heeler suddenly began stumbling, falling over, leaning, showing intense drowsiness and confusion, taking exaggerated or unsure steps, being overly confused by commands, and being nearly impossible to stir awake. He has been easily startled, shows little interest in eating or drinking, and has not been incontinent or drooling excessively. He was outside playing for 30 minutes in cold weather before showing these symptoms. We have checked and found no evidence that he ingested any marijuana, prescription medications, or household items. What could be causing these symptoms?
