My Shih Tzu is lethargic, vomiting, and unable to have a bowel movement. She is about 5 years old, doesn't chew or eat things other than dog food or occasional approved table scraps, and has been whining occasionally. This has been going on for two days. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My dog has a swollen abdomen, has had blood tests, ultrasounds, and x-rays, and is low on B12. He does not digest his food properly, seems depressed at times, and does not eat well. I have given him B12 shots, a diuretic for breathing issues, and digestive enzymes, but his belly still bloats. What else can I do to help him?

We are fostering a puppy for a rescue and the intestine is protruding out of the rectum. It has happened multiple times, and we have tried to stuff it back in. The puppy does not seem in pain and has soft stools. What could be causing this and what should we do?

My 7-month-old Australian Shepherd, Luke, ate something in the yard, possibly a toad or bug, and started foaming at the mouth for about a minute. I gave him 2 Benadryl tablets (for his 50 lbs weight) and he seems fine after an hour. My vet doesn't open until 8:30. Should we take him in?

Our Yorkshire Terrier, Nicky, is 15 years old with impaired vision and hearing, but he still walks reasonably well and has an appetite. My husband and I, who are elderly and in poor health, are unable to provide the care he needs. Family members suggest euthanasia as adoption seems unlikely. What do you think?

My 3-year-old mini Australian Shepherd appears to be constipated. He strains and produces very little fecal material, and this has been ongoing for a few days. He went two days without producing any stool. I changed his diet to white rice and boiled chicken, which improved his appetite. He is drinking water and has no gut sensitivity. His gums are pink and wet, but not slobbery. Does he need to be seen by his local vet or should I try a constipation home remedy?
