My Shihtzu has a history of serious right eye pain and has ruptured her right eye about a year ago. She is on Tacrolimus drops twice a day. This morning, she woke up in extreme eye pain. Her eyeball is intact, and I gave her Tramadol for pain. She has been sleeping since. She has not eaten or had anything to drink since yesterday but did urinate/BM this morning. At what point do I worry about dehydration? I plan on bringing her to her vet eye doctor on Monday.

I have an 8-year-old dachshund named Kary who has been through significant health issues including severe teeth infection, fleas, hot spots, and coping behaviors such as excessive licking and scratching. Despite treatment, she continues to scratch and lick, especially in stressful situations, and has developed black splotches on her belly and back legs. What could be causing these behaviors and skin changes, and what can I do to help her?

I noticed a puffy bump on my dog's nose right below the eyes, more pronounced on one side versus the other. The dog does not seem to feel discomfort when touched. Could this be due to a food allergy or some other type of allergy?

My 12-year-old Yorkie started throwing up and now licks the floor and his blanket obsessively. He also keeps doing the downward dog (praying) pose. What could it be, and what should I do? He has a history of pancreatitis.

My chihuahua is on spironolactone. The vet gives me 25mg pills which I need to split into quarters. The pills are very small, rounded surface with no score. Does anyone make chihuahua appropriate dosages? Or can I get this compounded somewhere? Thank you! Rick
