My shorthair dog, 3 years and 7 months old, had yearly shots including HW/tick diseases and lime disease, kennel cough, etc., 2 months ago. Prior to his shots, he was a hard-running hunting dog with no physical problems. After his shots, he developed a lump on his shoulder in the area of his shots (2-3 weeks after shots) and started limping, also he had no stamina after minimum exercise. Our local vet assumed it was a reaction to the lime disease shot and treated him with Diphenhydramine, Carprofen, and Cephalexin. The lump went away but he still had no stamina and was limping. The vet conducted a complete medical progress exam, chem.17 blood panel, Na+K+Cl-, CBC (complete blood count), cortisol baseline single snap test, heartworm/tick diseases test 1 yr., urinalysis (complete). All results were normal. LaserCyte results, RBC Run, and WBC Run all normal. After 1-2 rest, he seems normal, no limping and some stamina. However, after 30-45 minute exercise, he seems exhausted and he limps (front leg). His chest, front legs, front shoulders were digital radiographed and everything looked good. $800 later, the vet has no answers (she is a good vet). Can you help?

My 12-pound chihuahua ingested 1.5 homemade chocolate snowball cookies made with cocoa and sugar. The package only mentions cocoa as the chocolate ingredient. It's been about 15 minutes since the ingestion. Should I take my dog to the emergency vet?

How long do Yorkies live, and should I put my 13-year-old Yorkie with cancer through surgery? She is otherwise healthy, but has arthritis, hair shedding, and breathing difficulties after exercise.

I recently got a black lab mix who continues to lick her rear end as if she's cleaning it. Could this be due to a medical issue?

I have a 9-week-old mini labradoodle with clear mucus stools, occasional vomiting, and slightly watery stools with some redness. She seems active but we are going out of town for a week and someone will only check on her once a day. What should I do?

My 14-year-old Sheltie has been unstable on his feet and lethargic for several months after suffering from a vestibular disease episode that he never fully recovered from. He also has high blood pressure and is on medication (Almodipine and Benazeprine) to manage it. What could be the continued cause of his instability and lethargy?
