My dog Gidget had diarrhea after eating cream cheese from a bagel. She has been given Metronidazole, Proviable paste, chicken and rice, and canned pumpkin. She had a loose stool with mucus this morning. What should I look for to ensure the mucus was a fluke and not indicative of a more serious issue? Should I continue giving her pumpkin, and if so, how much daily? Is there anything else I can do to help her GI tract recover?
